Cal State limits enrollment

It has got to be difficult to be a student at Cal State right now. Tuition hikes every year, limited enrollment, I can see how hard it must be to make it and graduate. I would be upset if my enrollment was postponed because the school doesn't have enough money to pay the salaries of professors.

I hope California's higher education system improves for my children. I was fortunate enough to graduate from a Cal State school before tuition got out of control. I did feel the increase in tuition my final year, but by then it was too late to do anything.

Something needs to be fixed with our education system because it does not make sense to not have enough money to enroll students, pay for professors despite giving raises to administration.

Sorry, I'm just rambling on here.

A running blog about money

I am slowly getting into running to lose some of my weight and get back into shape. It has been a good experience so far and since I am finished with school, I am able to dedicate a little bit more time to it. I've set up a little blog called Running From Debt to log my journey into running and getting out of debt.

My next race is going to be the San Francisco half marathon. I finished the second half last year and want to complete the first half of the course. I convinced a couple of my friends to join me in this endeavor. My next goal would be to complete the LA Marathon next year.

I tell my self, if I can run and train for a marathon, I can save and get out of debt. It is a mindset that if I can put my mind to it, I can achieve it. In a sense, It's like running a marathon. Slow and steady gets you out of debt.
