I keep asking myself, "What am I doing this for?" Receiving a bachelor's degree in Nursing does not garner an increase in my income; I basically receive the same pay as I would with an associate's degree. There must be something that drives me to push my intellectual curiosity to the point where I am physically worn down.
"Short term sacrifices for long term goals..."
My Mantra that keeps me going. Even though the light at the end of the tunnel is a mere speck right now, I keep telling myself that the light can only get bigger as you get closer to your goal. I just have to stay focused and remind myself what my long-term goals are. It's just not stopping at the bachelor's level. That's a stepping stone to open up more possibilities in the future. Graduate programs require a bachelor's so that's the reason for my sacrifices.
